How a Schleich figurine is developed: A sculptor creates a model in the desired size. After experts review the model for accuracy, specialists then cast "insets" out of metal, which in turn are used to create injection moulds. With these moulds, raw figurines called "blanks" are created from soft and handfriendly plastic. These blanks are then hand color-decorated. The resulting figurines are very realistic and wonderfully detailed.
